When is Enough Enough?

Did you read this financial news this week?
ITEM: Royal Dutch Shell posts record profit of $27.6 billion for 2007.
ITEM: Exxon Mobil posts profit of $39.5 billion for 2007, the largest annual profit in US history.
How much are you paying for gas these days? Oh yeah, about $3 a gallon, right? A little more than that for diesel, maybe? And all the while, the big oil companies beg for more tax breaks and special protection from Washington.
Have you had enough?

Any suggestions on what to do? Yeah, it makes me sick that I’m paying so much at the pump when all the big wig oil companies are turning such high profits! There is no doubt that big corporations are in bed with the government. I went out and bought a more fuel efficiant vehicle. Public transport is a joke in Phoenix. I don’t know anybody who is satisfied with the fuel topic, but it’s been that way for years. I’ve signed petitions, I’ve written & called my state representatives. Nothing changes.

If the average businessman tried to survive on such a slim profit margin, as the oil companies work on,he would loose his business. If we could calm down the TREE HUGGERS we could start to tackle the problem! Not enough refineries, not allowing oil exploration in America!
