Soyatech announced that it will host "Soya & Oilseed Summit 2008" in St. Louis, Missouri on September 17-19 at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel. Designed to facilitate top-level exchange of information among leaders in food, energy and related agribusiness industries, this third conference in the Soya & Oilseed Summit series will explore practical strategies to address the challenges and opportunities that arise as global competition for competing resources continues to escalate.

Speakers will include leaders in agribusiness, policy and academia who will cover such topics as:

• A global forecast of edible oil supply and demand. This overview will examine worldwide supply and demand, pricing trends, and the impact on oil and meal demand of expansion in markets including China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brazil and other developing countries around the globe.

• The realities of developing sustainable soybean and oilseed production worldwide.

• An audit of the world's soybean and oilseed crush and refining capacity and utilization rates, as well as exploration of how shifting demand and policies are shaping new investments and infrastructure development.

• Emerging initiatives and technologies designed to make the soybean and oilseed industries both sustainable and profitable.

• An infrastructure outline for global transportation and supply logistics growth including identification of bottlenecks, and the potential for leveraging containerized shipping or other less utilized modes of transportation to support growth.

• Implications of parallel movement in petroleum and commodity prices on the bottom line.

A conference highlight is an industry panel discussion that will tackle the question, "Food vs. Feed vs. Fuel: Will Global Balance Be Achieved?". During this session, panelists from around the world will examine pressing issues that have direct impact on this question.

Attendees at "Soya & Oilseed Summit 2008" are expected to include executives from the food and beverage industry, government agencies, the automotive and oil industries, biodiesel and ethanol manufacturers and distributors, private equity investors, hedge fund managers, and leaders in science and technology.
